DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

It is the desire of Empty Arms Vermont to protect donor confidentiality and accounting information in all circumstances. For that reason, the following policies have been established and strict adherence to the policy is required on the part of all personnel who have access to financial information.

Donor and Contribution Information

If a donor requests his gift to be anonymous, the gift will be indicated anonymous and any reports run where this gift may appear will not include the donor’s identifying information.

Staff members will be given access to donor and contribution information only as required in the performance of their responsibilities.

All donor and contribution information will be kept either electronically in our password, access-protected donor software and accounting software. Paper donations or contribution information that is no longer needed will be shredded.
